Sales Excecutive - Hospitality

Salary:  Salary and bonus will be appropriated to the role and to the experiences of the candidate
Contract Type:         Full time, Permanent
Work Location: Watford, Herts and mobile
Working Hours: 40 per week

The Positon

Furniture Fusion is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager/Sales Executive to join our sales team based in Watford. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career within a growth organisation.

This ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial / hospitality business development. The candidate will need to allocate two days to work in our office in Watford, two days for meaningful meetings around the UK.

Your Role 
This role will include a variety of tasks and responsibilities including the following: 

  • To proactively seek and identify sales to ensure we maximise all opportunities for new business growth.
  • Build an effective & collaborative working relationship with architects and designers.
  • Working with colleagues in purchasing, marketing and sales to ensure all orders are successfully delivered on time.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all potential and existing clients through relevant and regular engagement/communications.
  • Understand the competitor activities within your region. Proactively feed information to CRM & identify support or implement changes required.

The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualities: 

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years proven experience in commercial sales developing new relationships with end users, architects and designers in either hospitality, workplace or educational furniture along with a good working knowledge of the industry
  • High level of financial, pricing and technical writing abilities together with the ability to produce business winning innovative proposals to the private and public sector.
  • Having the ability to develop tailored solutions is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
  • Presentation and communication skills must be of a high standard – for one to one meetings to making presentations
  • Excellent levels of English literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a pro-active approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with colleagues and customers
  • A confident and resilient manner
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, pressurised customer focused environment
  • Experience of using order processing systems
  • IT literate, competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
