When the opportunity to revamp a hotel with over 160-year-old history arises, you grab it with both hands. Especially when you get the chance to design some case goods.
We are delighted to work in collaboration with the Oatlands Park Hotel, situated in Weybridge, Surrey, to create bespoke case goods for their brand-new rooms. The client had a good idea about what they wanted and we suggested various materials, including a high-pressure real wood laminate in grey. We have used grey wood laminate in previous projects and thanks to its durability, the material is ideal for a hotel environment. In addition, all the pieces are British made, which made our client even more interested.
The project started a few months ago and the delivery is split into three phases. In total, we are furnishing about 25 rooms with our bespoke case goods. This started with the drawings for creation of a bespoke desk, bedside table, adapted tea and coffee stand and we also supplied a desk chair. Phase one, delivered in January 2018, has been a great success, with phase two and three due in upcoming months.
We are looking forward to work with Oatlands Park Hotel in the future, refurbishing the public areas of the unique hotel.
